McMachismo: Do Right by Eating Left

Just another WordPress.com weblog

its windy outside.

Good morning everyone.  They say winds are going to blow up to 45 mph outside today.  I jog usually 6.5 mph so I can imagine how difficult it must be to walk through 45 mph wind.  mind….blowing (har har har).

On another note, a lot has happened.  This morning on NPR and a Republican political consultant was commenting about Rudy Giuliani’s strategy on putting too much hope on Florida.  He said the following (not verbatim):

Rudy Giuliani was banking too much on Florida and sort of had too many eggs in that basket.  He ignored the early primary states and was pretty much counting his chickens before they hatched.

First off, way too many fricken’ colloquialisms…and obviously he’s white.  The use of the verb “to bank” and illustrations of chickens and their eggs to express a political strategy is not a manner of speaking for Asians.  Secondly….duh?  So what do all these past months of bitch fighting between McCain and Giuliani sum up to?…Giuliani’s endorsing him.  How at one moment can you be shit talking and then at another be all like “this man is the man for America and I was just a big sike for you all yesterday.”  perhaps a VP nominee?

Much to no surprise….the $600 fricken dollars I should be getting from the federal government so I can boost the economy is…well…might be taking longer than anticipated.  The Senate apparently made its own version of a “bipartisan” economic stimulus package by adding billions of more dollars in social programs for the elderly and needy.  My view?  It’s an economic stimulus package…not SCHIP.

WELL…we’ve come to realize that some national leaders have integrity:

  • Chinese PM Wen Jiabao apologizes on behalf of God.  Apparently, the PM didn’t read the turtle shell oracles all too well and failed to predict the snow.
  • Australian PM Kevin Rudd apologizes to the Aborigines.  They weren’t treated all to well by their European counter parts back in the day…and apparently still now.
  • American Presiden Bush apologizes for lying to the country and starting an unjustified war….oh wait.

I’m telling you…this NASHI group (pro-Kremlin youth movement) is pissed off (again).  The growing row between Estonia and Russia is only deepening.  Estonia, in doing whatever the little country can to bite back, has denied entry into the country by blacklisting NASHI members.

Gorbachev finally goes….Ok, Putin.  You’re a bit much.  A Putin goes…wutevaz.
