the chinese are coming

Back in college, one of my fraternity brother’s had this Korean DVD drama where it depicted the Korean War.  The turning point of the war between the US/ROK and the Soviet backed DPRK was when the Chinese came.  And the depiction of the Chinese invading the Korean peninsula pretty much, I feel, sums up the way Koreans see Chinese people:

Ill-equipped, massive in numbers, incomprehensible, and overwhelming.

They literally showed millions of ragged Chinese soldiers running over hills and as history can tell, this had quite the impact.  It pushed the American/ROK forces all the way back down the peninsula.

Which thus brings me to the following news item.  Chinese stampede into train stations in the thousands due to endless snow.  Something about Chinese people and huge crowds seem to work so well together.

i love chinese people so don’t be thinking i’m hating on them…plus i’m asian too so i can make fun of people that look like me.
